North Ayrshire businesses invited to Meet the Buyer
Businesses in North Ayrshire looking for tips on how to secure public sector contracts are being urged not to miss this year’s ‘Meet the Buyer’ event.
Meet the Buyer is Scotland’s largest public procurement event. It gives businesses the opportunity to speak directly to purchasers and decision makers from over 40 public sector organisations.
The event, delivered in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme, Scottish Government, Scotland Excel and Business Gateway will be held at Hampden Park on 28 September, 10am-4pm.
Its aim is to give businesses the opportunity to find out more about the public sector tendering process and provide tips on how to improve their chances of success.
Over 20 local authorities, including North Ayrshire Council, will join the likes of Scottish Fire and Rescue, NHS, Zero Waste Scotland and Transport Scotland – among many others.
Private sector companies with a proven track record of winning and delivering public contracts will also be in attendance with the intention of opening up their supply chain.
A programme of workshops on a range of procurement related topics will be held throughout the day.
Places are free, but registration is required and can be done on the Supplier Development Programme website.
